What We Do
From selling bikinis out of a dorm room at FIU to walking the runway at Miami Swim Week and FLL Fashion Week — this is the DUBS story.
Founded by artist and owner Bailey Grossenbacher, a former Division I softball player at Florida International University, DUBS SWIM was built completely from scratch. What started with Bailey hand-designing colorful prints and selling swimwear to her teammates, friends, and supporters has grown into a brand carried in multiple stores and featured on fashion-week runways.
DUBS was created for people who don't just want to look good in swimwear — they want to live in it.
Every suit is designed with an active lifestyle in mind. The bright, hand-designed prints are made to stand out, while the performance fabrics are built to keep up with everything from boating and wakeboarding to surfing, swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, and long days in the sun.
Our bikinis are made with Carvico Vita PL, a high-performance fabric made from regenerated polyester yarn sourced from pre- and post-consumer waste. The fabric was specifically developed for transfer and sublimation printing, allowing DUBS' artwork to have sharp, vibrant, long-lasting color. It offers excellent colorfastness and is highly resistant to chlorine, sunscreen, and oils, helping the suits maintain their color and performance through endless adventures.
Our men's boardshorts are made with Repreve® MF 4-Way, a premium performance fabric made with recycled REPREVE® microfiber yarns. The four-way stretch provides flexibility, comfort, and shape recovery, while the soft, smooth feel and durable color make them perfect for both active days on the water and everyday wear. The fabric is also resistant to chlorine, sunscreens, and oils, making it built for long-term performance.
But DUBS has always been about more than the suits.
For the runway, Bailey brought together her former teammates, professional athletes, best friends, and the people who have supported DUBS along the way. Every person has their own story, personality, platform, and connection to DUBS that made them the perfect fit for the brand.
This show was a full-circle moment — seeing the same people who believed in DUBS from the beginning now walking the runway alongside Bailey.
From a dorm room at FIU, to farmers markets, to multiple stores, to Miami Swim Week and FLL Fashion Week, DUBS has truly been built from the ground up.
